Tamara Larson

Tamara Larson’s journey is a testament to her commitment to education and entrepreneurial spirit. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Music and French and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, she is a lifelong learner with a fervent passion for using music as a powerful storytelling tool.

Facing challenges along the way, Tamara is the driving force, and founder, behind two national organizations, Grow Leaders and Learn Peace Canada. These initiatives focus on leadership development, peace education, and building strong, safe communities.

In her role as the Program Chair, for the Rotary Adventure in Human Rights and an Empowering Girls Ambassador for Rotary International, Tamara has made her mark on a global stage, participating in the United Nations' Women Leadership for Peace Emerging Leaders Course in Geneva in October.

In February 2023, Tamara was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal and was honoured to be named Rotarian of the year in 2018 for her leading edge youth programs. Locally, Tamara is proud to be the newest cabinet member of Women United at the United Way Alberta Capitol Region.

At the heart of Tamara's mission lies her dedication to mentorship, especially for young women leaders. Her work aims to bridge gender gaps and create a more equitable world through mutual learning and inspiration.
